FYI, if you squad up and join a match, select NOT to be put in a squad in the loading screen and it will not break the squad up.

I would suggest all of you (if you haven't already) study these maps a bit. It will help, it's for conquest only at the moment but rush might come soon. Still though, it's the whole map conquest or not you can still see the road ways and hiding spots.

Tips and Tactics

The Recon TUG device will stay even if you have died and changed kits. Only goes away when picked back up or destroyed my enemy fire.

Ask if it is safe to spawn on someone before actually doing it. This could save a bunch of tickets for the team.

Spec Ops Black camo shows up black on IRNV scopes. Some of the equipment like the vest and the headgear is still orange.

EOD Bot can repair vehicles, EOD bot can pickup mines, C4. claymores.

You can roadkill with the eod bot and mav.

When sniping use distance marker on flags (a, b, c, d) to judge the bullet drop

We have had issues getting the squad on the same team, the best way to do this is to join an empty server and then send invites from there. Join the game from the invite, If you join session in progress you will sometimes be placed on the other team. When we have more than 8 ppl we will be in team chat not in a party.

Under the direction of Sangheli XIII, a new XBA BF3 Gamebattles team is being formed. We are in the process of finding members to be on the team. Here are some basic details, there is a 24 person max on the team, currently all competition matches are held in the game type SQUAD RUSH. So there is a limited amount of players that can join and compete. If need be we will have tryouts for the spot in the match, to add XBA competition. The team is being formed in 1st Battalion but 2nd and 3rd battalion members are welcome. This team will sort the best of the best in the XBA and can benefit everyone. If your or any other member is interested contact me or Sangheili XIII and we will provide more in-depth details on the team

Visit this forum for links and details.

We are in the process of developing battle plans for each map Conquest and Rush modes. Assignments to defend/assault specific areas based on in game squads.

First we will break into squads:

SkeezerNJ
Sy0n
Hops99
Yogi3o3

BRAVO - Capture and Hold "A" or "D" whichever is closest to the enemy deployment, 2 anti air soldiers in the squad with siagla or javelin soflam combo
chuckhmh3
IllusiveClient
WhyteTiger911

wicked 42x

Charlie - Capture and hold "B", if "A" or "D" is lost reinforce Bravo squad while alpha squad covers "B" and "C"
Das Fruit
GlockmanHaze
RainScorpion702
smillysmile

Karg Island - Conquest

Alpha squad - Capture and hold "C" , focusing on anti armor.
Bravo squad - Capture and Hold "A" or "D" whichever is closest to the enemy deployment, 2 anti air soldiers in the squad with siagla or javelin soflam combo
Charlie- Capture and hold "B", if "A" or "D" is lost reinforce Bravo squad while alpha squad covers "B" and "C"

any two team members can take the heli for air support

i will post this battle plan in the next mandatory PPR when we will try it.
If you have any battle plans for other map or tactics/plans you want to try post them up here.

DAMAVAND PEAK ~ CONQUEST (starting from the North (RU) side)

Following are tactics I’ve seen that prove to be very effective in winning Damavand Peak. I’ll provide what I think are effective strategies but I think collectively we can come up with something even better. Of course, some of this will have to be tweaked by using trial and error in battle.

The main strategies would be:
  • Gain air superiority. Securing both helicopters is key and requires two good pilots with missiles and flares. I would suggest the pilots be support class so they can fly and drop ammo when and where needed. Also, it is effective to drop infantry behind enemy lines.
  • Try to secure both tanks. Not always doable but great when you can.
  • Defend Charlie by placing two snipers at our camp. One on each side of the flag in the mountains with one being in the restricted zone rocks.
  • Driving infantry straight through the enemy’s camp to get behind their lines.
  • Balance the classes. 2 recon, 2 support, 4 engineer & 4 assault or something like that.

So this is how I can see this going down:
  • Our pilots get airborne taking a few infantry with them, take down the enemy bird and provide air support until the other bird replenishes. If the pilots are support class I believe they can resupply themselves but if not, they can at least drop ammo for everyone else. Although, being an engineer class may prove to be more practical. Once the other bird is available they secure it and keeping the enemy preoccupied with them.
  • The infantry that went over with the bird gets behind enemy lines hopefully securing the tank but if not, eliminating hostiles and securing Alpha.
  • Back at our camp, snipers take their positions and one or two guys secure Charlie while the rest of the crew heads to Bravo.
  • Our tank moves forward pushing as far as they can.
If starting from the South side all would be pretty much the same but we could put snipers on the roof, rocks or the center median. Also, it's good to have two people on the bridge to watch each side. If you do this, you don't need much else to defend Alpha.

Of course, I'll leave the assingments to Skeezer but if practical I'll throw my hat in for sniper since I'm halfway decent at that.

I hope this gets some ideas going and look forward to seeing what we all come up with.
